High Five Baby!
Here is my top five list for organizing baby/kids clothes:
1) Buy hanging dividers that have the months on them but use a sticker/label (or write with sharpie) to add the weight range on it so you can hang all the various brands in the same section. I find that there are some slight differences from brand to brand in the weight ranges and the month by month sizes. If you can also see the weight range you won’t miss an outfit.
2) Have a plastic bin or bankers box set up so that when outfits that no longer fit come out of the wash you can put them right in. I have one for boy clothes and one for girls. When I put the first item in I mark the outside with that size. When its full I mark the size I ended with so that I know what’s in the box. I also mark what season(s) are included in the box. You’re ready for the next kid, garage sale, or resale!
3) Set up dresser drawers by size. Top drawer 0-3, second drawer 3-6 etc. then as baby grows out of one size the next size takes over that drawer. Â
4) Use a plastic set of drawers  in the closet to store clothes that you buy ahead in larger sizes. I use labels that I can change out easily (or put another sticker over) since these drawers will always be in flux. Some moms use bins or boxes for this but I like the drawers since I am often in and out of these to remind myself what I already have pre-bought.
5) When my babies are spanning two sizes and an item labeled as smaller still fits I ignore the size printed on the label and store the item with the next larger size. This allows me to clear out what doesn’t fit and move on to organizing for the enxt growth spurt.

Great ideas! But what about baby milk bottles and other stuff? I’d like to keep my baby or maternity bags along with my baby’s stuff. And where can we possibly put the toys?
Great questions! I like to think of myself as a ‘basket case’! I LOVE to use baskets. I’ve weeded out my bottles down to just the ones I REALLY need and I put them in a basket on my countertop since I use them daily. The same goes for my pumping stuff. I have baskets in a few rooms that I use to gather toys to keep clutter down then I can redistribute the toys when the basket is full. I have also taken many toys out of circulation to keep clutter down and make the toys seem new again. Hope this helps. There are so many tips that could be geared to your particular habits/lifestyle.
